Mulan’s Costume

Weta Workshop, a creative powerhouse in New Zealand, gained legendary status as masterminds behind the breathtaking sets, meticulously crafted props, and masterfully designed costumes and armor that brought The Lord of the Rings films to life.

Working alongside the lead leatherworker on the Mulan (2020) project was a dream come true for me. For six months, we meticulously designed, hand-crafted, and expertly distressed five identical versions of Mulan’s armor—each one brought to life with intricate detail to shine on screen.
